The fast track at Winamac Park once again helped our Varsity Triton Runners put up some amazing times at HNAC this past weekend. The cooler temps definitely helped, but 4 out of the 6 boys ran Season Best times and set new Personal Records, while 2 placed in the top 15 winning All-Conference awards. Two of the 4 Varsity girls set new Season Best times also and one of them set a new Personal Record while also bringing home an All-Conference medal.
Senior Rory Heckaman placed 6th overall for the Varsity Girls and earned an All-Conference medal, all while setting a new SB time and a new PR for her XC Career. CONGRATULATIONS RORY!! The other 3 girls on the team weren't far behind and all placed in the top 25. Junior Rilee Bemish came in 20th place, and set a Season Best time for herself too. Juniors Macy Carson and Kayla Poff were close behind coming in 24th and 25th respectfully.
Senior Caden Large placed 9th overall for the Varsity Boys and earned an All-Conference medal on the day. Senior Jaydon Heckaman placed 12th overall and earned an All-Conference Honorable Mention, all while setting a new SB time and a new career PR!! CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH CADEN AND JAYDON!! The other 4 boys ran really great on the day too. Senior Travis Barnhart came in 17th and set a new SB time and career PR. Freshman, Colton Large and Brady Heckaman, both placed 19th and 29th on the day but did it while both setting new SB times for themselves which were also their new PR's for the freshman season. Senior Andrew Gould was only a mere 10 seconds off setting a new SB for himself while coming in 25th overall.
Awesome job by all the runners and we wish you all the best going in to Sectionals in a couple weeks!!
