BOURBON - by Coach Gardner - Triton Boys Tennis team hosted John Glenn for the season opener and pulled out a thrilling 3-2 win. Caden Large started off his second season at the 1 Singles spot with a quick start against his opponent and won in two sets. Ethan Shively started his senior season at 2 Singles, which is new for him switching from doubles play and lost in two sets. Then the next Large family member, freshman Colton Large, played his first high school varsity match at 3 Singles and lost in two sets. Senior Zak Greer and junior Isaiah Vaca played 1 Doubles and finished with a good win in two sets. Newcomers junior Jaydon Heckaman and freshman Blayze Hensley played their first match of high school tennis and won in two sets. Three other Triton freshmen started off their high school tennis season playing JV: Max Ritchison, Hunter Arvesen, and Oliver Ickes. Triton hosts two more matches this week with Knox on Wednesday and Rochester on Thursday, and finishing Saturday at the Peru Invite.
